I still don't understand why Roach doesn't tell them to use that in case of emergency only because that **** is terrible. Even when they're winning their fights they temporarily look like they're losing because of how weak they look using it (and Pacquiao, especially, is no physically weak fighter). Khan gets knocked the round the ring so even if he blocks the punches it doesn't achieve its full purpose because it still impresses the judges.
A Roach fighter's defense is basically his offense.
