Is the OP suggesting that though they are able gain followings here at home, Floyd and Andre might not have the same success abroad?

      If so, please elaborate.
I'm saying because they are not exciting, the media and fans in other countries wouldn't support them.

By the same token, if GGG wasn't exciting, he wouldn't be popular in the USA.

Well both are cowardly figures, tolerated nowhere else in boxing circles other than the US which is not a good start.

Floyd also has the other 2 stigmas of losing his megafight to Pac and then being gifted it which obviously couldn't have happened anywhere else apart from the US,

Couple that with the fact he was already the most hated boxer in history, even IN his already home country, then there's really no hope for him anywhere...

        ONLY in AMERICA!!

He never cleared out any division he fought in.

If they were white, they would be loved everywhere.

Although he is very similar to Sven Ottke, because he wasn't born in Germany they wouldn't support him like they did Ottke.
you really just compared Ward to Sven Ottke....

No I did. But I can see your point given Ottke showed KO power vs Mundine.

                  pop·u·lar
                  adjective

                  1. liked, admired, or enjoyed by many people or by a particular person or group.
"she was one of the most popular girls in the school"

synonyms: well liked, favored, sought-after, in demand, desired, wanted; commercial, marketable, fashionable, trendy, in vogue, all the rage, hot, well attended; informalin, cool, big, styling/stylin'
"the most popular restaurant in town"

No, they wouldn't have been popular in another country, they're not even popular here. except to only FloStans

"But, but Floit sold 4 milleeun PPVs doe" - FloStan

Yes he's well known and famous, but popular, as in people like him, NO. He'd probably be just as infamous and hated in any other country as he is here. Then again if a foreign country had the combined IQ of a potato, like every FloStan out there, then sure he could become popular.

Ward would be an unknown in any other country as he is here. Boring is boring no matter how you translate it.

                    Yeah I agree.

That was so disrespectful to Ottke, comparing him to a joke like Ward!

                      Both:

                      Feather-fisted
Boring amateurish style, Ottke clinched less often though
Refuse to fight in foreign countries in their pro careers
Benefit from home officiating (Ward's refs let him foul, Ottke's refs protect)
                      Won Olympic Gold medal
