yeah, i totally agree,, I just started this thread for ****s n giggles,,

Both were horrible but i would favor cloud over lacy as he seemed to slightly better fundamentally and did beat better fighters

cloud by a country mile. in fact i dont think he deserves to be compared to lacy in the first place or all this talk about him being one of the worst titleholders ever.

but to go back to the lacy comparison, cloud throws every single punch better than lacy including his trademark left hook. hes got that versatility too where he can throw every punch well, unlike lacy who just throws hooks even remotely well. cloud is also a shorter, more accurate puncher with much faster hands. he puts punches together very well (against a stationary target) and can counter punch a bit especially with the right hand, his punches are crisp and snappy as opposed to the clubbing punches of jeff lacy.

his defense is much better than lacys too, cloud positions his hands well, knows how to block and parry punches and has some subtle head movement going for him. lacys defense is almost none existent, he just bores in with wide punches leading with his head.

footwork, intelligence, chin etc.. you name it cloud has more of it, even the very few areas where lacy excels like punch resistance cloud is still better.

again, idk what warrants this comparison. sure cloud looked bad, but look at the fighters he fought. stevenson and hopkins arent scrubs, even campillo is a decent fighter and cloud did better against him than he gets credit for. he sure as hell didnt win it but because he got an unfair decision ppl forget that he actually did some good work at times in that fight. more importantly cloud has real wins, something lacy lacks.

glen johnson may have been past his prime but he was still game when cloud fought him, to actually beat the road warrior coming forward and outfighting him is one hell of a feat even considering johnsons age at the time. he has some other solid wins like against woods, mack and zuniga too. may not sound overly impressive but go have a look at lacys resume and it will start looking real good real fast.
