Who's the better player Derrick Rose or Kevin Durant?

durant as of now even though they're great in two different ways. i can see rose improving his shooting as time goes on though, so time will tell who really turns out to be the better player.

Derrick Rose as a PG isn't the best passer and has a shoot-first mentality which is never good at the 1. And he isn't the most efficient scorer even though everything he does seems to look impressive.

Kevin Durant as a SF is a bad matchup for any type of player. He could go from a step back long-range jumper, to slashing and dunking, to post up baby hooks. He has all the tools that a scorer needs.

Durant is the better all-around player.

100% agree! I love watching Rose, he's so explosive and exciting to watch, but not as efficient a scorer as he seems. Durant is a beast and while Rose could end up better, Durant is ahead at present regardless of MVP awards.

Why are we bringing up defense when Durant has none?

Neither one is an all around player. You need to be efficient on both ends to be an "all around" player

Is could see Durant as the top 2 guys in a few years but he need to get aggresive down low. Whether slashing more, posting guys or battling for rebounds.

Durant will never be a top 2 player..

Derrick rose has to do everything offensively on his team... He has no one to take the pressure off of him offensively. Durant may appear or be a better ppayer offensively but i think drose will be better. He makez his teammates so much better. He has the desire needed to improve his jumper.
