People are giving Amir a hard time for the comments he made about Pacquiao's inability to "wobble" him during sparring.

Boxing is as much about the mental psyche, as it is the physical. He is simply doing what any intelligent fighter would say, and that's building his confidence. He needs to make himself believe that he can still take a punch. You can't hate on him for that.

Hopefully that confidence doesn't lead to over-confidence in which case it becomes delusion.

I'm fairly sure it was only recently, just because Freddie doesn't really put as much work into the prospects who don't bring him as much money anymore,
Due to his age and fatigue, he lets his brother and shane train them.

I'd say it was more then likely for the Malignaggi fight.

ok been through the thread...khan and byrne sparred before oisin ***an, which was when he was still at 135 and immediately after prescott, it got back to the british media on sky sports, because there was rumours he had been floored, but that was not true just rocked, and it was byrne who told ***an that he had hurt him but how brilliant khan had looked in sparring. Byrne also did an interview after the sparring in the build up to the ***an fight, when he talked about it, you can google that.

Now whether they have sparred since then im not sure about (pretty confident they haven't), but everything above is true. Khan clearly has a weak chin, but getting rocked with headgear on is quite normal, especially depending on where both fighters are in terms of their respective camps. One guy can be in much better shape.
