  • It's Offical now...Romney to be elected President

The Carolina Panthers beat the Washington Redskins 21-13...according to Redskins rules this mean Romney will win the election.

The Carolina Panthers beat the Redskins in Washington on Sunday, which should translate into a win for Mitt Romney on Election Day, if history is any indication.

Here's what the Redskins Rule means: If the Redskins win their last home game before the presidential election, then the incumbent party retains the White House. If the Redskins lose, then the incumbent party is voted out.

The Redskins Rule has been correct 17 of 18 times.

The Panthers, who entered Sunday with a five-game losing streak, won 21-13 at FedEx Field thanks in part to four sacks of Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III.

The rule traces all the way back to 1940, the first presidential election year in which the Redskins were playing in Washington. But it wasn't discovered until 2000 when Steve Hirdt of the Elias Sports Bureau was doing research in advance of the Monday Night Football game between the Redskins and Titans in Washington a week before the election.

The only exception has been 2004 when the Redskins lost to the Packers. According to the rule, that meant incumbent president George W. Bush should've lost the election to John Kerry.

      Agreed!!!

When a 2-6 team plays a 3-6 team and its made relevant in some obscure way, we're way off-track.

I have faith, {Not much, just a little} that American citizens aren't that dumb to elect a lying, flip-flopping, human hypocrisy machine for anything close to the Presidency.

No. Romney takes it to another level when it comes to lying and flip flopping.

Remember....the majority of these people need to be lied to. They simply can't handle the truth about the invisible hand, laissez faire approach. Most of them are too stupid to understand it anyway and need every proposal/solution in the form of a legislative bill. Some of us don't agree with this and don't want another bill turned into law... but the opposite. As in repealing existing laws and voting 'No" on future bills.

So the worst case scenario with Romney is that he actually might be what we call a......Moderate. Remember...we don't want a moderate. Some leftists may call Obama a moderate (i dont' agree with this) We want a Right-wing economics guy to keep taxes low for everyone and work on ways behind the curtains in getting rid of the Progressive tax code altogether and then some. Lets hope Romney is not a Moderate. There are better Pro-Capitalism people we could've had run against Obama....but most of them can't play the game well and have unelectable facial features and mannerisms.

I'm telling you, this is Gore v Bush all over again. Even that 50% to 47% is eerily familiar to me for some reason.
