I'm not sure why bute is bothering with 175, all it means is that the rematch won't even be a title fight.

A fight at 175 would be pointless. Why would Froch even accept the rematch at 175 anyways? It's the first i've heard of this.

It's one thing for Bute to proceed with the rematch clause after such a one-sided beating so soon (which gets my full respect), but the man has just lost his titles. A title fight in Canada would make sense for the rematch to take place..........but a non-title fight at a different weight just bemuses me.

It's not like the public are gunning for a rematch to take place in the first place. So a non-title fight at 175 is a bit anti-climatic.

Froch hasn't got many years left at the top. His next order of fights need to be (only if successful): Mack (168), Bute (168), Kessler(168 - hopefully Kessler will have Abrahams title by then),if he wins them, than a move up to 175 aiming for a potential big domestic title fight with Cleverley, or another title holder/ or a last hurrah against Groves at 168 as a farewell fight in 2014.
