Accept the fact Wladimir is an ATG and his "pawing" jab would **** up most of your best heavyweights from your last eras, people will talk about James Toney for the bumbling bufoon that he is trying to fight a mma legend after all his smack talk to just get owned....
Absolute embarrassing and idiots like that 'representing' boxing don't help the sport.

You got me. Sam Peter was an epic win. ATG stuff. The skill Peter showed in losing to...sorry, 'winning' against obese former middleweight champ turned heavyweight Toney was superb. His rabbit punching technique is second to none.

Jerry Quarry's wins over HOFer Floyd Patterson, Earnie Shavers, Ron Lyle, Buster Mathis, Mac Foster...that just doesn't compare to 'beating' obese Toney and Maskaev.
Quarry never was a champion. I don't care who he beat. He was a one trick pony with zero head movement beating an occasional cruiserweight. 250+ lb. prime Sam Peter would have KO1 that dude and please try and say it isn't so.

Nobody said that it was better than anything Ali did in his comeback fight.

Stop trying to put words in peoples mouthes.

The fact is that Ali came back after 3 years, not 4. It was Vitali who came back just shy of 4 years.

Then, Ali took two tune up fights and lost his title shot to Frazier.

Vitali went straight to a title fight on his comeback and beat the reigning WBC world champ who was ranked 2nd in the world behind Wladimir and who gave him all he could handle in his only loss prior to Vitali taking him apart.

Now, obviously I don't rank Peter anywhere close to Joe Frazier all time but If I had to bet on it prime for prime, I would think Peter would have probably stopped Frazier in a good fight.

Chaching!!!! Ali was a shell of himself, almost permanantly brain damaged already and retired at that age.

thats why no one will remember him when he retires.

                      Couldn't be more true.
