    In the event of the middleweight finals, the moral of the story was that whatever a woman can do, a girl can do better.

    Claressa Shields proved to be far more than your average American teenager. The 17-year old will soon return to high school for her senior year.     Congratulations to Claressa. She fought hard and did what she had to to bring home the gold. I hope this wakes up the US Olympic Committee and realize we need a better boxing program with more time for the fighters to train and prepare.

          The men's team was a huge disappointment but the women salvaged a little bit of pride for USA Boxing.
