Mekhontsev won today by RTD 3.

I'd like to see him in with some better opponents soon.

I actually got a chance to see Egor Mekhontsev fight live in person
I attended the Top Rank Solo Boxeo Tecate card in Laredo, Texas.
Egor Mekhontsev was tested in his 5th pro fight with a journeyman
Samuel Miller. Mekhontsev is one of Top Rank's top boxing prospects
he's got a lot of power in that punch and he's being trained by none
other than Freddie Roach of the Wild Card Boxing Gym. Mekhontsev's
got a scheduled fight on November 15, 2014 on a Top Rank HBO Card
which will air on HBO Latino the untelevised portions of the card they
are usually online on Top Rank Boxing website you can see the fights.

Egor Mekhontsev will fight Jinner Guerrero on Nov 8.

I'd prefer they move him a bit faster, he can beat better opposition than those he's fighting.

Yh a step up is needed he gains nothing from these opponents.
Get him in with a Gutknecht or Cornelius White before a very durable Grachev type who can make him work.

He won by K.O 2 over Jinner Guerrero on friday.
He is back out according to Boxrec on the 28th in Russia.

At least they are keeping him active this will be his fourth fight in as many months.

Hoping for a step up next year and for Egor to make some noise. I am convinced he has the goods to become great.

Just hope Top Rank finds him some decent opponents soon.

I don't want him to go stagnate and decline because of soft opposition, I've seen it happen to others like Korobov and Boytsov.

Agreed. They need to get a move on with him within the next few fights, hes not your ordinary prospect.

Be interesting when he does step up as Stevenson will never fight him & him and Kovalev are very good friends outside the ring so not sure they'll fight each other.

The Russian powerhouses are looking to take over the LHW division. They have some mega talent emerging. If Andre Ward wants to prove he is a top 2-3 P4P as they claim he should move up.
