master boxer that didnt use clinching as a option ?

    sure its subjective in the same way holding in football is subjective, but the difference is there are 20 guys on the field at the same time so its hard to see/sometimes irrelevant to the action. in boxing there are only 2 guys so its very easy to see and very relevant to the action taking place since it comes to a screeching halt. maybe the refs just don't know what holding is? when one of the guys with boxing gloves wraps his arms around the other that is a clue!

      Yes that is a big fat clue, and still referees still can't see if it's intentional or unintentional hence, subjective or corrupt practice lol

        But I do understand why heavyweights clinch more. They are like v12 engines. Who spend energy really fast. They need to clinch to conserve energy. But welterweight or lower weight class on that matter can't use that as an excuse since they are light and burn energy like a Mini Cooper.

        That said, clinching to block an exchange is vagina boxing. Clinching to take a breather is fine. Those are the absolute difference.
