yup, from what i've heard:

cleto reyes (mexico) gloves, it's padding is less focused on the knuckles, increasing chance of injury to both fighters. aka the puncher's gloves

everlast (usa?) gloves, are all-around, or standard.

winning (japan) gloves, it's padding is more focused on the knuckles and hand, reducing chance of injury to both boxers. aka the pillow gloves.

i'm not sure about Grant gloves.

The Reyes gloves are cutters to. I use them and have caused some pretty good gashes. They are not as padded in my opinion and the others. I like the Everlast gloves, good all around and wont break the bank. havn't used the Grant gloves yet. See them a lot, and look well constructed.

i much prefer grants though.
