when im doing hook and jab pads i try to mix it up between levels of intensity. some times i say warm up with 20%ers, and then vary from that to full trying 100%ers. the guy holding the pads rekkons the best mix of speed/technique/and keeping guarded come when i throw at about 40-50%effort.
