this is becoming quite a trend in boxing now

boxers who haven't really done anything significant wanting to call it a day

tbh i find it kind of pathetic this is guy is 22-0 but only because he hasn't fought anybody

he's in a division that has such fighters as dawson, pascal, cloud and hopkins and he hasn't fought any of them he hasn't even taken on guys that they have faced and beaten

haye and khan are jokers aswell

at least hatton tried and failed but they seemed intent on earning mega paydays because they had a following

bring back the days when fighters wanted to become the best in the division aswell as looking for the big money fights

now i feel this fighters just want a payday without really earning it the hard way

Cleverly who??? I doubt even his family has heard of him before. Till he has been on HBO or Showtime, he is an unknown. Heck even ESPN would work.

Guy's, let's face it Froch is the last standing World Champion warrior left in the UK. Froch is an underrated throwback fighter. Most new fighters only focus on the money, not their legacy, and sometimes get disappointed when they don't achieve either. Go for the legacy and the money will follow.

Its not about European fighters, its about British ones. All these Brits just try to make money and flee the scene. They dont give a **** about fans and proud. They barely become a champion by winning those "Gucci" belts and think they can be legit in this sport. They say, they fight for the fans, just to appeal to the largest portion of soceity, but what they do is nothing but maximizing their profit. Boxers from Poland, Ukraine, Armenia, and Russia dont act like that.

Seems like the UK fighters are all starting to have the same mentality. For boxing fans is disappointing, though at the same time it's smart from them as they can bank millions of £££ and then go have a fun life.
