I mean lets be real for a second and quit holding on to the past. Lopez never went up and stayed in his division, and Burley never was a champion...atleast not to my knowledge. There is really no way you can justify either of those, but I guess to each his own.
This shows how ignorant you are, Burley never got to fight for a world title but beat the likes of Oakland Billie Smith, Bert Lytell, Jimmy Leto, Joe Carter, Cocoa Kid, Holman Williams, Fritzie Zivic and Archie Moore. IMO those accomplishments poop on pac/floyd resume. Hagler is greater than Pacquiao and stayed in one weightclass whats your point? Gomez and Lamotta can easily be argued to be greater. Get off the nuts of modern fighters.

Look at his career before you open your mouth he is an ATG.

No they don't. Again you are holding these older fighters on a higher pedestal that they should be. I'll give you Archie Moore as he is top 50 ATG, but that is one compared to atleast 2 (Barrera and Morales) that Manny has.

Again when ranking these guys, it should be about accomplishments, and no Burley has not accomplished more than Manny. Manny is the only one in the history of the sport to win 4 Lineal titles in 4 different divisions. That alone is more than anything Burley, has accomplished.

Now don't get me wrong, it's a tradgey what happened to Burley (simple because white america,at the time, didn't want two dominate black fighters, and IMO was the reason he didn't get his shots at world titles) but at the same time we can't play the what if game when judging these guys rankings on the ATG list. You can, but I refuse to do so.

Sal is an ATG as was Lopez.

But so are Floyd and Manny. Lopez never left 105 to challege guys like Johnson, Carbajal, Gonzalez etc.....so how is he higher than Floyd or Manny. Sanchez, could have done more, but again we can only judge what he has accomplished, and there is no way you can sit here an tell me it was more than what Manny and Floyd have accomplished.

It's who you beat and in the circumstances you did it in, NOT the piece of ***ellery won or the piece of ***ellery you were wearing at the time.

Again this was about Manny and Floyd not being in the top 50. If Burley is top 50...then there is no way Manny and Floyd aren't.

Again there are really three categories a person who makes a claim like that fits into

                  1. Complete idiot (bit harsh) or a guy who just doesn't know much about boxing

                  2. A hater

                  3. Someone who is biased towards old school fighters.

Which is why I posted "Lineal titles" and not alphabet titles. Manny has accomplished something that has never been accomplished in the 100 plus years of the sport. If it was easy to do....then someone else would have done it by now.
