Thanks for posting that pick of Lopez and Pineda. I was a teenager when they fought and remember it so well. Both of them were undefeated with about a dozen fights, almost all sensational KO's. They had been brought along on the weekly TV show from the Olympic Auditorium, usually paired in co-features. When it came time for the showdown, the Olympic was totally soldout. Lopez was rocked in the first, but took over and stopped Pineda in the 4th round. Pineda became an in and outer, while Lopez eventually won the title and went to the HOF.
