Daniel Ponce De Leon vs Antonio Escalante on 9/18

As I said, eked by was probably the wrong way to put it but Lock did give him trouble towards the end of the fight. And he did manage to outbox De Leon in spots. As a boxer, De Leon is limited, he'd have more chances to win this fight as a brawler.Comment

Exactly as I see it. Escalante still seems to be on the rise or at least peaking. De Leon no longer seems to have that edge.
I think it will be a tough fight early, but Escalante will stop De Leon mid rounds.Comment

I've seen Escalante on his A-Game and off it. On his A-Game he can compete with the likes of Lopez and Gamboa. With that said I'd expect Escalante to ice De Leon. Ponce can't box at all but Escalante can be a sucker for that straight left when he forgets his defense. Still though, I have to side with Antonio on this one. This fight is opening up the Mosley-Mora PPV and I think will be the best fight of the night. If you order this PPV make sure you watch it from the the start.
Who do you guys have in this fight? Ponce De Leon looked really good against Lock and Cruz, and Escalante was in a war with Miguel Roman (who is fighting wednesday against Tyrone Harris on the Gonzalez-Asiku PPV).
I think this fight goes all 12 rounds and Ponce De Leon outboxes Roman in a war to win a close but reasonably clear decision (right around 116-112).Comment
