They shouldn't really be mentioned in the same sentence.

        3. Avenging has a lot do with politics (Don King) and availability of fighters, not only with the desire to avenge.

The last time I checked Wlad has a higher KOratio and much more wins than Lennox. So much for your *cough* theory about not wanting to mix up with opponents.

The current division is better NOW than when Lennox ruled. Lennox ruled over 2 hormone junkies (Evan Fields and Shannon Briggs), a boxing grandpa (Foreman) and an aging Tyson.

There is NOTHING in Klitschko's record that would be worse than Lennox' record, except
        • The win over Evan Fields (yawn)
        • David Tua (snoozefest)
        • Vitali Klitschko (unsatisfying result)

        That's about IT.

I just checked the last 15 wins of Klitschko and of Lennox.
The last 15 wins of Lennox were median 31-2 (at bout) (I excluded a win by DQ)
The last 15 wins of Wlad were median 29-2 (at bout) (I excluded a win by headbutt)
The last 15 wins of Ali were ALSO A median 30-2 (at bout).

All 3 are approximately the same, except that within 12 rounds Wlad scored 13 KOs (against an average weight of approx. 240 lbs), Lennox 11 (also 240 lbs) and Ali 3 (against an average weight of approx. 210 lbs)

If you want to return such a crappy HW division like Ali's (= 4 KOs in 15 fights against an average weighing opponent of 210 lbs) THEN TELL US RIGHT NOW. TELL US RIGHT NOW OR STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE CURRENT HEAVIES.

And spare me your favorite smilies or favorite justifications. If you want to argue then argue with FACTS, not by rebabbling of what some US commentators said.
Wow knn, I admire your effot to get threw to some of this clowns , I wish I had the energy to try to get people to stop living in a fantasy land and listen to facts , but people will never come out of this fantasy land , thinking guys like Tyson ,Lewis or Ali are from another planet with super human punching power or speed or whatever , most of the people you are trying to reach ,watch to many highlight vids and never seen Tyson struggle vs. almost every tall guy he has fought , or Lewis looking like **** in alot of his fight or Ali dancing around lightH.Ws , its a losing battle !

actually they are very similar....both have a good jab, very boring, and a good right hand when thrown.....lewis got rid of bums alot quicker tho and will probably last longer than wlads reign......

how is lewis beating a mentally deranged crybaby any different from wlad beating a one eyed shot brewster?

You are totally correct. As much as I like Tyson, one has to admit that he HAD HUGE PROBLEMS WITH TALLER GUYS (> 6'3'').

I wrote about this in several posts, e.g.

              he's 5'11,
he spend the entire first half of his carrer beatin the **** out of taller guys,
almost al of his opponits during his reign were taller then him, and he still knocked them all out.

Yes, he KOed guys taller than 6'3'' all bums like Eddie Richardson (14-21) or Conroy Nelson (21-14).

Let's check what happened when Tyson met TALLER (> 6'3'') and BETTER (= those who lose less than 25% of their fights) opponents:
                • First time Mike met a taller opponent: Mitch Green (6'5'') -> UD10
                • Second time Mike met a taller opponent: James Smith (6'4'') -> UD10
                • Third time Mike met a taller opponent: Tony Tucker (6'5'') -> UD12
                • Fourth time Mike met a taller opponent: Buster Douglas (6'3.5'') -> Tyson gets KOed
                • Sixth time Mike met a taller opponent: Lennox Lewis (6'5'') -> Tyson gets KOed
                • Seventh time Mike met a taller opponent: Kevin McBride (6'6'') -> Tyson gets KOed

Case closed. The only time Tyson won against a taller better opponent was against Lou Savarese.

Case is also closed for those who think that Tyson could KO either Klitschko. The Klitschkos' would be Tyson's TALLEST opponents, while Mike would be the Klitschkos' SMALLEST opponent. Add to it that the Klitschkos' have also a higher KOratio than Tyson and a rock solid defense.

Having said all that: Tyson is an ATG.

what are yoou talking about. Lewis dodged all the good american boxers while they were in their prime.

Wlad hasnt. eventhough the Heavyweight classdoesnt have the quality fighters that Lewis time did.

b/c Lewis kept his ass out of the states.

                    **** Lewis
