    And it is intelligent.

Wlad won olympic gold. He is a boxer with brain.

Watch his pre-Sanders fights and there you'll see aggression aplenty. Hell, in the Puritty fight I had him winning every round until he gassed out in the 10th. He was ****in the **** out of him, too! Punch after punch after punch (ironically, almost identical to the Haye-Thompson fight).

Completely different to the man we see today. Ah well.

he is a TOWERING physical specimen... so yeah it'd be great if he went out there like Ivan Drago every night.... but he got caught earlier, some say signs of a suspect chin... so he plays it a little more conservative. If he didnt have solid HW boxing skills im sure he would HAVE to **** it out... i believe the reason Vitali is more of a slugger is because he's not as good of a technical boxer, so he has to resort to that at times.... not everyone is a KO guy, but he boxes to win and does so convincingly....

People often underrate Wlad. That guy is one of the best heavyweaights from the last 20 years. I have him in the top 10 ATG heavyweight form the 90's till the 00's. If his chin wasn't so bad he would be a very exciting heavyweaight. The heavyweight division would be a real excitinbg one to watch.

This is another post from the category
"I'll post and I hope noone will actually check the facts"
            and
"Wlad doesn't match up with my favorite fantasy fighter"
            1. Wlad's jab is stronger than the most boxers' right. Thus de facto he throws more "rights" than many other boxers.
            2. I am so sorry for you that Wlad didn't KO Rahman or Thompson 1 or 2 rounds earlier. May I remind you that Thompson has never been KOed before and could withstand a lot of Wlad's rights. Thus we have to assume that he has a rocksolid chin. And if you complain about Wlad being too slow against Rahman then I would like to remind you that Lennox against Rahman was far slower (Lennox got KOed).
            3. Mike Tyson has 33 KOs in rounds 1-3 (against 200+ lbs opponents). Let's check other heavy hitters:
              • Lennox (14 KO wins in rounds 1-3 against 200+ opponents)
              • Vitali Klitschko (25)
              • Ali (4)
              • Foreman I (20) (against a median opponent of 16-14 = mainly bums)
              • Foreman II (14)
              • Bowe (23)
              • Archie Moore (11)
              • Cleveland Williams (12)
              • Sam Langford (23, against a median opponent of 2-6 = mainly super-bums, far worse than Eric Esch's opponents)
              • Earnie Shavers (27, against a median opponent of 12-13 = mainly bums)
              • Tua (25)
              • Joe Louis (6)
              • Rocky Marciano (7, all of them bums and featherfists)
              • Frazier (3, with a combined record of 43-49)
              • Wladimir Klitschko (28)
              • Thus (except for Foreman and Tyson) Wlad beats them all.

            4. May I remind everyone that Mike went full distance with Smith (44-17), Green (19-6) and Tillis (42-22). Could KO Ribalta (39-17) in round 10 only. Is anyone here that thinks Wlad would perform equally bad against these opponents? Please raise your hand....
            5. You completely ignore the quality/size/height of opponents. ALL OF TYSON's KO wins (except for Lou Savarese) were against smaller (max 6'3'') opponents OR against bums. Tyson could not cope WELL WITH ANY of the tall guys (6'4''+). The first taller (somewhat non-bum) opponent he ran into was Smith (UD12, 6'4''), the second Tucker (UD12, 6'5''), the third one Buster Douglas (6'3.5'', Tyson lost), then Lennox (6'5'', Tyson lost) and the last one McBride (6'6'', Tyson lost).
            6. In other words:
              1. Adjust your childhood memories regarding Tyson accordingly
              2. Tyson's fighting style worked mainly with small or bummy opponents while Wlad's fighting style is far superior and universal

If you want excitement from a Klit, just watch Vitali. You won't and can't really expect excitement from Wlad... unfortunately. Having said that, he's skilled and just does the job effectively but not entertainingly. German fans love it though so it works for his fan base.

Wlad is extremley skilled and heavy handed, but he is really boring to watch now.

But, I can't think of many other HW's I would rather watch right now. The whole division is boring.

It's not exactly been a golden decade for HWs though
