Great podcast from a couple days ago by journalists/boxing analysts Chris Mannix and Kevin Iole from Yahoo Sports talking about GGG, Jacobs and Ward:

Since the very same demographic is still pushing out the false narrative, that GGG ducked Ward, you should listen to the podcast.
Here are a couple quotes:
Real fans know the truth but a certain demographic/fanbse, which is very active on this very forum will keep pushing the lies, the false narrative, the perception that GGG ducked Ward.
Ask yourself, is there any neutral/unbiased media out there who push the Agenda that GGG ducked Ward? All the respectable journalists, analysts and writers make it perfectly clear that GGG never avoided Ward. It is a certain demographic, Ward, Mayweather and his fans that tries to push Wards lies.
About the 164lb rumor vs Ward
Some people now claim that GGG wanted Ward at 164 and others at 168, that is also false. The only little truth about is, that Loeffler said, GGG was the clear A Side during that time, Ward was on a 2 year hiatus of not fighting, while GGG was fighting 3-4 times per year on HBO yet Ward insisted on a 50/50 split. So obviously thats bullshit, while GGG had to move up in weight and was the much bigger name.
Tom said, if Ward really insists on 50/50 split (while being inactive for 2 years and GGG the bigger name and ticket seller), then he also needs to make some other concessions, meaning, then its all 50/50, money AND weight, so GGG moves up 4lb and Ward down 4lb. That is perfectly fair isn't it? Ward never tried to negotiate another split (for example 168 and 40/60) or make any kind of counteroffer, so thats that!
Whoever tells you that Ward avoided/ducked Ward, just guide him to this thread.

Here are a couple quotes:
"The whole Golovkin Ward negotiations tale Ward has been weaving, how Golovkin turned down a fight is nonsense, complete nonsense. I have heard it from people that supposedly back Ward and HBO how that whole thing went down."
"Golovkin wanted him first, thats for sure. Andre Ward, when he was on that kinda hiatus, was not interested." (that was in 2013, when GGG agreed to face Ward at 168 and Ward decided to fight Rodriguez instead).
"I have heard from several people involved how the talks went down, and Ward was the one pushing the false narrative, which has now become the perception that Golovkin ducked Andre Ward."
"I dont think that Ward ducked Golovkin either, he had no interest in the fight for other reasons but Ward created the impression that GGG didnt wanna fight him, which couldnt have been further from the truth."
"The fight was never financially viable, when it was talked about. GGG was still building his name on HBO, Ward was on the 2nd year of his self imposed hiatus of inactivity, both would have commanded big dollars. If you would have sticked this on PPV it would have died."
"The problem is then you had Leonard Ellerbe and others who jumped on the false agenda, saying hey why dont you want to fight Andre Ward which made a ton of more people believe in Wards lies."
"For the record it should be known that Gennady Golovkin NEVER EVER EVER ducked Andre Ward."
"I have met GGG a month out of one of his fights, he was stepping on the scale and was already at fight weight weighing 159lb, i spoke to him and he said he could easily make 154, he is like Floyd, always in shape, walks around at 164-168 and it would be a big ask to fight a legit Light Heavyweight in Andre Ward who walks around much bigger, but Golovkin was willing to do that. Intead, because of Wards narrative and with Mayweathers team jumping in there adding fuel to the fire they created that GGG was ducking the fight, which is totally false."
"GGG has a certain charisma, he carries himself well and is accessible, never turning down an interview and inside the ring he is a destroyer, willing to fight everyone. He wants to go out there and make everyone happy, he thinks about the fans. Think about the Lemieux fight, after 6 rounds he could have just cruised to a 12 round UD with his jab alone, but no, he put on a show and went for the finish, even though Lemieux could have hit him with a crazy haymaker. Most other fighters would have played it safe and just cruised to a decision win, like Floyd would have done." (another reason, certain demographic - specially Ward and Flopd Fans - keeps pushing the Agenda, that GGG ducked Ward)
