Course you have a right to refuse a CW. Ward would have refused if there had actually been a 164 offer rather than merely Sanchez running at the mouth. Ward himself is apparently also fine with CWs when it suits him ofc. And Golovkin can and should refuse a CW if he doesnt feel it suits him. The only difference is that Ward wouldn't have been given a strap for turning down a CW.
I'm not really understanding your point though... Is the massive crime you're accusing team ggg of a touch of hypocrisy? Even if true such doublespeak is typical to the point of banality in the boxing world.
