Easy fella he just took a three round beating at the hands of one of the biggest punchers in the sport for your entertainment... no need for ridicule!

There's not really much that i can say about Golovkin that hasn't been said already, but man what a performance. The guy is just a tank of a fighter, rolling forward inexorably until whatever infront of him folds.

Couldnt believe they had Golovkin's defence at a C (while Macklins was a B lol) on the pre-fight report card here. He may not be a defensive wizard but you can see he reacts well and knows how to take the sting out of shots.

For Macklin i dont think him using the kind of tactics he used against Martinez benefitted him here. IMO he could have had slightly more success trying to smother GGG's work like he did against Sturm, though the eventual outcome would surely have been the same.

if u watch the fight at the first round he did try that

Nah he came out throwing but his plan wasnt to smother GGG, he clearly wanted to maintain his distance. After the fight he said his gameplan was to take him into the later rounds
