Also, there's nothing impressive about Oscar's number of fights considering that Whitaker fought for a world title with around 14 pro fights . Also look when Vargas stepped up to fight prime Trinidad. Both far earlier than Oscar .

How was DLH ranked #2 before he fought Whitaker? Whitaker was in the P4P, that I do remember clearly...as for which spot..not sure. I don't care how great you are, you're not always going to look great in every fight.

It is impressive, he beat the **** out of Hernandez...the same Hernandez Floyd fans make a big deal about. I wonder if Oscar was black, boyyyy he'd be Sugar Ray Robinson status by now I bet.

Oscar fought for a world title in his 12th fight son and stepped it up after. But yet Vargas LOST....Oscar kept on winning till he got beat by Trinidad(which many people thought he won).

At the end of '96 this was the p4p list:

      Roy Jones Jr.
      Oscar De La Hoya
      Pernell Whitaker
      Felix Trinidad
      Ricardo Lopez
      Junior Jones
      Kostya Tszyu
      Terry Norris
      Evander Holyfield
      Mark Johnson

Whitaker got dropped after subpar performances against Rivera and Hurtado. I thought the first Rivera fight could have gone either way and I think most knew he needed a KO to beat Hurtado or he would have lost on the cards.

Both Mayweather and Pacquiao beat Oscar. Why can't he pay his respect to Camacho without trashing anyone. Oscar runs his tweeter to much. Oscar had his share of hand picked easy fights when he was champion.

Why would De La Hoya mention Pacquiao when Pacquiao just fought a prime and young Timothy Bradley?

You guys should just ignore Frank Sucketts, he's obviously a mentally ill person who likes licking Floyd's anus every other hour.

Only somebody as ignorant as you would think Oscar isn't compared to Ray Robinson because of his race. The fact that you would even compare Oscar to Ray Robinson speaks for itself.Whitaker fought Jose Luis Ramirez, Vargas fought Trinidad and you compare that to Oscar fighting Jimmy Bredahl for a meaningless "belt" at that time? LOL

Oscar was favored to beat Whitaker. It was expected. Stop trying to make your hero look better than he was.
