Floyd 30 years old vs. ODLH 34 years and he was the Jr. Middle Weight Champion
Cotto 27 years vs. Shane Mosley 36 years and just a WW Contender...
No arguement...
Titles dont mean **** to the casual fan and honeslty, i dont give a **** about titles either. I watched Erik Morales fight because of WHO he fought, not what title he fought for. Thats just me. I was more impressed with Cotto's victory over Shane than I was of Mayweather's over DLH. I guess because I already knew what to expect from May/DLH.
This is ridiculous that everyone think Oscar is going to wipe Cotto out easily. Cotto showed that he can box against Mosley, and I'm sure he can do the same against De La Hoya. Not to say that this is an easy fight for Cotto either, but I don't think the weight is going to be as big of an issue as everyone is making it out to be.
Cotto Should Fight ODLH @ 154 just as Floyd did....
Cotto fans are quick to say that Cotto is better the PBF, and would knock Floyd out out... Well let's see How Cotto would do if put in the same position that Floyd was in.....
Let's let Cotto walk in Floyd's footsteps....and fight one of the best fighters in their generation @ a weight that cotto is not Natural at...!
People forget that in the past
Everytime PbF move up in weight that it was against a champion there wasnt no warm up fights...
Lightweight / Castillo(1st fight @ weight) for the belt
Jr. WW / Corely(1st fight @ weight) for the belt
WW/ Judah(1st fight @ weight) for the belt
Jr. Middle weight/ ODLH (1st fight @ weight) for the belt
And Cotto is moving up in weight not even fighting a champion so it should be more easier because a belt is not on the line..!!
So this is one of the ways, Cotto can prove he is better than Floyd like his fans say...
Mayweather is boxing’s best all-around fighter period.
Look @ his dominance over his opposition. Few fighters have ever been as statistically superior to his opponents than Mayweather, who rarely loses rounds, much less fights. A recent CompuBox analysis determined that the “Pretty Boy” leads the sport in “plus-minus” rating – and not by a little. The “plus-minus” is the difference between a fighter’s average connect percentage and that of his opponents, and Mayweather’s plus-30 (46 percent to 16 percent) is seven percentage points ahead of his closest competition, Juan Diaz, who owns a plus-23.
Mayweather’s rating compares favorably to the prime Roy Jones (plus-23) and Pernell Whitaker (plus-16). For the record
This is way I laugh when Cotto fans swear to God that Cotto is better than Floyd..... (And they are serious....)
Look at this PBF stat.....
