detoxify diet

has any body ever done the toxin flush diet thing??? Like for 10 days all you drink is water mixed with cayan pepper, lemon juice, and a small amount of maple syrup. Everyone i have heard of that has done this says they feel completely revitalised because it flushes the toxins out of your liver and the rest of your body, but 10 days without food can't be good for you can it, and surely no doctor would recommmend this would they??? What is your opinion??

My friend the insane skydiver / extreme athlete is trying to sell me on colonic irrigation. He swears I can lose another 5-10 lbs and get a flat stomach; he gets a colonic a couple times a year. Trying to get my nerve up to let a stranger run a 3-foot tube up my ass, though. . . .

I'd be interested to hear any personal opinions or experiences with detox or colonics.

if i can find out enough about the detox, i would try it for sure, but there is no way i would get a colonic, just the thought makes me sick.

On the other hand, look at that site and check out the stuff that comes out. As long as I'm losing weight, I'd rather lose ten pounds of that, then ten pounds of anything else. I think I'm going to order the stuff. And no, I won't post pics.

damn that gallery wanted to make me yack. oh man, that was gross. that **** didn't look natural. but i can imagine how much stuff does get stuck in your body. people who get colonics swear by it tho.

I can't imagine it's good for you to walk around with that **** (pun unintentional) inside you. I've done some more reading; the consensus seems to be that the average American man by age 40 is carrying 15-20 lbs. of undigested rotting material in his colon. Looking at that gallery actually makes me want to do it. And parasites? Jesus, I spent a summer in Thailand working with Burmese refugees a few years ago. I can't imagine what's breeding in my guts.

Hell, a colonic can't be worse than a hook to the head, right? Plus, it might bring me down a weight class.
