FOrget PBF VS. Cotto 2008....PAUL WILLIAMS IS A BEAST

    PAUL WILLIAMS IS A BEAST:

*Now that we have our pleasantries out of the way lets toss the fat into the fire shall we,

*Paul Williams is a freak of nature, I don’t need to run down what makes him so special, still the internet boxing community only wants to talk about Cotto and its starting to remind me a lot of last year when people were talking about Antonio Margarito as this mythic warrior who would trounce everyone…

*well a funny thing happened one warm evening in California…he got punch in the face…repeatedly…and just looked flat out outclassed like some sort of laboring scorpion who showed up to compete at a beauty pageant…excuses were made for his awful performance against a one handed Josh Clottey and so the story goes, well actually his story ended…he has essentially fallen off the map now in favor of Cotto who I respect and would pay to watch fight if he watch Paul Williams...

*I get the hype…he’s exciting to watch he’s young and he’s an undefeated titleholder…but he never beats Paul Williams…who’s also exciting to watch, young and an undefeated titleholder…

*this kid is going to eventually run the division and it kills me that all these brainwashed hypocrites completely ignore him and clamor for a Mayweather Cotto fight….if you are a boxing fan how could you not want to see two completely different yet undefeated young title holders scrap it out (unless your bob arum)…

*and you cant say Paul Williams is not worthy of a fight with Cotto…he dusted off everybody’s last guy Antonio Margarito…there’s so many great fights to be made at 147 I just don’t see why people (for better or worse) have to remain fixated and obsessed with Floyd Mayweather vs. Cotto right now when Floyd said he is not fighting in 2008.

    What about Paul Williams.....

Williams needs a good, convincing win over a credible welterweight before he starts talking about Cotto or Pretty Boy Floyd.

Lets see him make a couple of title defenses before we elevate him to such a lofty status. I still see only one impressive opponent in his entire career.

I want him to destroy Quintana and Cintron. I just dont like those guys. Both dont seem to have the will to be fighters.

It's not up to Cotto to do favours for Paul Williams. If Williams can't get fights that is unfortunate but it is up to him and his team to work extra hard to get things signed, sealed and delivered. As far as I'm concerned Cotto has paid his dues and he should get his big money reward in his next fight, all that remains to be seen is whether that fight is with Oscar or Floyd.

Paul Williams has "ZERO" Title Defenses, Cotto has a whole Island and New York behind him. Don't quit your day job, you won't make it as a promoter with decisions like that.

Williams will win impressively against Quitana and will call out Cotto AGAIN, let's see if the bout can get made.
