  • Odlanier Solis to face Konstantin Airich

Don't ask me who he is but here it is.

Bad thing about it is that it will be the night of the Khan-Peterson fight, May 19th. It will be on Telefutura. If I can get a stream for it I will be posting it tho. Its an 8 rounder so let's hope we get more than a couple of rounds to see how he bounces back from his injury.

Beside wining I think the most important thing is how much he weights...

He's a rather limited German (actually born in Kazakhstan) heavyweight, who is with the same promotor as Solis, Ahmet Öner's Arena Boxpromotions.

Airich is probably best known for a wild fight against Danny Williams. He looked to be a decent enough prospect up to that point. Throughout his career he has been very active and competed in three one-night tournaments last year. One of those tournaments included a humiliating one round KO loss to Tye Fields, showcasing his vulnerable chin.

Airich can punch but provided that Solis doesn't get hit with a big punch, he should be able to KO Airich quite impressively if he is anywhere close to old form, and this includes his rather overweight form.

Of course one would hope that he loses the excess weight.

He also started his pro career very late at the age of 29, he's 33 already.

Airich - Williams was a "gem", definitely a must see, here's the end:

His manager rang the bell with 1:40 still to go, because Airich was hurt, and the ref ended the round. How Ahmet Öner is still allowed in the sport is a miracle...

Looks like we are looking for more than an impressive win from Solis. We gotta see how he recovers from the knee and if he's able to shed some pounds off. Hopefully look like the Solis that came to fight Vitali.

tye fields ko'd airlich with a body shot. it had nothing to do with his chin. ailich is very limited & is a C level at best. he is along the lines of a robert hawkins, brian minto or zuri lawrence.

                    Gotta agree.

Airich is a good journeyman and nothing else, he always shows up in shape and puts forth his best effort though.

Coming back from a serious knee injury, Airich is an adequate selection.

If Solis is completelly recovered, after 3 rds he will be mopping the floor with Airich.
