Stevenson, hailed as one of the best boxers of his time though he never turned professional, died on June 11 at the age of 60 of a heart attack. Stevenson dominated world amateur boxing for 14 years and became the first fighter to win the Olympic gold medal in the same division three times. [Click Here To Read More]

Nice to see that turnout for a last goodbye to a national hero.

        Rest in Peace, Champ.

Teofilo will live on in legend. His skills and merits have earned him a place in not only boxing history but peoples hearts. Had the chance to go pro but rather stay in his beloved Cuba. Long live the champ. Long live teofilo Stevenson.

Part of me would've liked to see him become one of the greatest professional Heavyweight champs in boxing,

but the whole of me loves what he represented and what he stood for,R.I.P champ!

RIP Champ. You were a perfect example of a real patriot that preferred the love of his people, socialism, and honor over money. Something pro boxing needs to learn. Rigondeaux is a sellout.
