    Former two division champion Ricardo Mayorga (29-8-1, 23KOs) appeared on television network Channel 12 in Nicaragua and claims to be the selected opponent of WBC 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (40-0-1, 29KOs) on the 15th of September at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

    This is messed up if this is true. Mayorga is nothing anymore. Canelo will learn very little from this fight.

      ...that was the big announcement from ODLH? If it is the case, then what a joke that ''history will be made'' crap he was spouting.

          I wouldn't doubt it. I also heard Canelos next fight will be on either CBS or Showtime. So that makes believe this even more.

            I don't think Canelo's objective is to "learn". $$$$.
            Tune up fight against old washed up fighter before a big $$ fight.
