Rigo got low rating partially because he was Headlined against a respectable Showtime card. HBO put him in a position to fail so they have a exuse. It seems HBO would rather have less skilled fighters on their network as long as they can **** and get the KO

Like I said if HBO was interested in marketing them they could if they want excitement put him with B and C grade fighters so he could beat the sh:t out of that would get him more casual fans. That's how GGG was built by putting him in with inferior competition to beat up on.

If there's a market for Hopkins, Ward,Alexander,Bradley,Malignaggi, Mayweather, Macklin, Barker, Geale the Klitchkos they can find a market for Rigo. I don't even think his personality is boring he talks a lot of smack its in Spanish but still.

And seriously Fat Dan should get pimp smacked for calling him Rigondull. Disrespectful Fat POS. hes supposed to be a reporter on a magor network he should step up his professionalism.

Bob Arum actually offered Rigo over $350k to fight Chris Avalos, a guy who threw over over 100 punches per round in his last fight, and guess what. Rigo turned it down!

Kev, is that Bob Arum's fault, or Rigo's?

        Your search failed then.

Like I said, I have nothing to prove. I made a post as soon as the fight was made, that Arum is making this fight to make Rigo look bad. I really have nothing to prove. You know nothing, you don't know how to search anything. You talk like you know sh-t about PPV too but are completely clueless how things work.

Rigondull reaps what he sows. No where in boxing is the B side the key to the matchup. If A-side cant entertain then he doesnt deserve that spot.

Also tell me who in the hell would put rigo on an undercard at the risk of fans switching the channel prior to the main event?

Rigo has been treated with respect and had warnings and encouraement to fight a more friendly US tv style fight. What we got in his last fight was contempt and him just telling the fans, the network and his promoter to get screwed.

Lastly for those blaming Arum, saying he should promote Rigo or he set up him up to fail that is laughable, Bob knows it is almost impossible to turd a dollar with Rigo and can you imagine the calls he got from HBO after this last fight where 200,000 viewers turned off and the whole live crowd walked out. HBO are furious at Arum talking them into another Rigo headline.

The future, RIGO wont fight on HBO or Showtime ever. No demand No interest.

          R.I.P.

          Retire in Peace, Rigondull.

Still at this, I don't know why people are trying to argue the clear, cut facts.

Rigo fights like he wants a gold medal while the other fighters fight for money.

They gave him his chance and he blew it until he is willing to fight like a pro he won't get paid, it's that simple

WBO #1 contender, this could be an ESPN bout for Rigo.

I made an advanced search. In "search by user name," I put -Kev-, and I searched for Agbeko. Nothing turned up. Then I manually searched for all the announcement threads (and more) made by both boxingscene and regular users, and nothing turned up.

If Bob Arum was purposely trying to mach him up to fail, then please explain the Chris Avalos offer.

What does this have to do with anything? If you want to talk about that, I responded to your post already.

I thought the same thing. And to think, I was on his side when James Toney was threatening to kick his fat ass.

He just needs to keep winning and reach the point where people will watch to see him lose.
