World Boxing Council cruiserweight champion Grigory Drozd of Russia could be defending his green and gold belt for the first time in a rematch against former cruiserweight champion, Krysztof ‘Diablo’ Wlodarczyk, on May 22nd in Moscow.

Drozd defeated Wlodarczyk in a classic battle last year, also in Moscow, snatching the WBC belt in the process. During that bout, Grigory landed the best punches. What is "classic" about a one-sided fight? No need for a rematch. Silly that there are four decent belt-holders at cruiserweight who do little more than fight leftovers and won't fight each other. Example #645 why alphabet organizations and their paper title belts suck

Unreal. Was there a rematch clause? That's the only way this makes any sense and still, by the time the fight happens, it'll be 8 months since the first match. Yawn.
