Former four division world champion Erik Morales, who is now a full-time trainer, predicts WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26KOs) will retire undefeated from the sport.

Mayweather is set to return on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The opponent has yet to be announced. According to Mayweather, the fight in September will be the final bout of his professional career.

At one time Morales was trying to get a fight with Mayweather when the two of them were top fighters in the lower weight divisions, but the match never came to fruition as Mayweather continued to climb the divisional ladder.

Morales praised Mayweather for his ability to pick the right opponents at the right.

"Yes, I think [he will retire undefeated]. He has done an excellent job in finding the right opponents at the right time, [fighting] people when they are on the decline so he does not have any problems inside the ring," Morales told Espana.
