With no more business to tend to in the ring, Errol Spence decided to take in one more night at the fights in 2015. The unbeaten welterweight was present at ringside for the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on NBC card in San Antonio, Texas.

Spence (19-0, 16KOs) looked like he was ready to jump back in the ring, not very far off from the 147 lbs. he weighed for his recent 3rd round knockout of Alejandro Barrera. The bout also aired live on NBC, taking place in Dallas, just 30 minutes from his hometown in Desoto.

“It was a thrill to be able to perform in front of all my fans at home and all my family,” Spence told BoxingScene.com in reflecting back on what was his fourth win of 2015, all of which were televised. “I was able to give them a good performance and now I'm looking forward to a big 2016.”

While the win came in front of family and friends at home, it also took place two days after Thanksgiving. It meant not being able to fully enjoy a holiday meal with his loved ones, though he figures the ultimate reward to well worth the minor sacrifice.

“I'm used to it. Even as an amateur, I was always away for Thanksgiving,” noted Spence, who represented the United States in the 2012 London Olympics. “It's just something I've gotten used to over the years. I’m just looking forward to a big 2016, where all this hard work will continue to pay off and bring big things.”

A specific timetable isn’t yet in place for when he plans to return to the ring. Fighting under the PBC banner, there won’t be any shortage of opportunities. Following televised knockout wins over Samuel Vargas (NBC Sports Network), Phil Lo Greco (NBC), Chris van Heerden (Spike TV) and most recently Barrera (NBC), Spence is less focused on when he’s back in the ring and more so in moving towards fights with the best in the always loaded welterweight division.

“Honestly, I just want all the big names. This year was about improving each fight and against better opposition. In 2016, it's all about beating the best fighters in the welterweight division,” said Spence.
