Beibut Shumenov wants to unify at least two of the so-called world light-heavyweight titles. But to do so, the man from Kazakhstan has to retain his WBA title when he fights Enrique Ornelas, a Mexican, in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

LAS VEGAS - World Boxing Association ("WBA") Light Heavyweight World Champion Beibut Shumenov returns on June 2 to make his fourth title defense against former super middleweight world title challenger Enrique Ornelas at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. in a fight that will be televised live on FOX Sports Net and FOX Deportes.

By Jake Donovan - Librado Andrade’s first fight in his birth country couldn’t have ended any better. The three-time super middleweight title challenger found his way back to the win column with a third round stoppage of Matt O’Brien on Saturday evening at Centro de Espectaculos de la Feria in Leon, Mexico.

LOS ANGELES - After traveling the world and doing battle in Denmark, Canada and Germany, fighting brothers Librado Andrade and Enrique Ornelas have one stamp missing stamp in their fistic passports - their native Mexico. On Saturday, August 27, that will be rectified when they fight for the first time in their home country on a doubleheader to be aired on Televisa's "Sabados De Corona" in Mexico and on AT&T U-verse in the United States live from the Centro De Espectaculos De La Feria Leon in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico.

By Jake Donovan - The Telefutura Solo Boxeo telecast opened up with Andrade’s brother, Enrique Ornelas recovering from a knockdown to take a unanimous decision over recently unretired Hector Hernandez in their eight-round co-feature. Scores were 78-73 across the board, though not entirely indicative of the action that took place. Things got off to a rocky start for Ornelas (31-7, 20KO), who was dropped in the opening round by the modest hitting Hernandez. An uppercut produced the bout’s first knockdown, although Ornelas recovered relatively quickly and gained control by rounds end. However, Hernandez (10-4-2, 4KO) was far from done. The uppercut turned out to be the weapon of choice for much of the second round, while Ornelas didn’t quite seem to process that he was truly in a fight.

By Jake Donovan - After delivering concussive knockouts through the years, Librado Andrade’s career was given a devastating hit Friday evening after suffering a shocking majority decision loss to Aaron Pryor Jr. Scores were 95-95 even and 96-94 (twice) for Pryor Jr in their Telefutura-televised main event, which aired live from Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.

LOS ANGELES - It's a family affair on Friday, May 6, as brothers Librado Andrade and Enrique Ornelas headline an intriguing doubleheader at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California. The theme of family continues further with the main event, as Andrade will square off against Aaron Pryor Jr., the son of the legendary Hall of Fame boxer, Aaron Pryor, in a ten-round light heavyweight bout.

LOS ANGELES - On Friday, May 6, Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California will be the site of a family reunion, La Habra, California's favorite fistic brothers and longtime top contenders Librado Andrade and Enrique Ornelas, return home to Southern California to fight on the same card for the first time in over six years (last time was December 16, 2004 at the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles) on TeleFutura's "Sólo Boxeo Tecate."
