Krasniqi, Dirks, Culcay, Zeuge and Lamm Win in Berlin

Young light welterweight Felix Lamm (3-0, 1 KO) got his first ever stoppage victory (as a pro) moments ago at O2 World Arena in Berlin, Germany. Lamm dominated the first three rounds of his fight with Spanish journeyman Eloy Rebollo (1-6), 31, before dropping him twice in the fourth stanza. Rebollo, who started his pro career in 2011 as did Lamm, 22, was first dropped after a right hook to the chin and then after a huge left to the solar plexus. Lamm went berserk after the second knockdown and unleashed a nice series of punches prompting a referee to call a halt at 1:33. Perez, of Newark, N.J., actually would’ve won a majority decision had Fidel Maldonado Jr. not dropped him late in their tight fight. The 2008 National Golden Gloves champion instead settled for a split-decision victory over Maldonado in the opener of a “ShoBox: The New Generation” doubleheader from Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, Calif.

Hard-punching German light heavyweight contender Dustin Dirks (24-0, 18KOs) has been named as the official challenger for EU champion Orial Kolaj (9-5, 6KOs), who won his last four bouts in a row. Dirks fights Sandro Siproshvili (25-13, 12KOs) on this Saturday's undercard to the Robert Stieglietz vs. Arthur Abraham event at the O2 World Arena in Berlin, Germany.

Rising Swedish light-heavyweight Erik Skoglund (11-0, 6 KOs) will return to the ring on September 22 at the Nordic Fight Night in Frederikshavn, taking on Argentinian Ricardo Marcello Ramallo (9-3, 8 KOs). The unbeaten 21-year-old comes off a second-round KO win over Fouad Nasri in Herning, which already was his fourth victory in 2012 and his fifth ever since beating Volodymyr Borovskyy despite a broken jaw in May 2011. “Things have been going very well as of late,” Skoglund said. “I have knocked out three of my last four opponents. I can feel that I get better and stronger with every fight I take.”

Messehalle, Erfurt, Thüringen, Germany - Marco Huck (34-2-1, 25KOs) retained his WBO cruiserweight title with a twelve round majority draw against Ola Afolabi (19-2-4, 9KOs). The scores were 114-114, 115-113 Huck and 114-114. The fight was exciting and fireworks filled many of the rounds as both boxers traded bombs to no end.

The weights are in for Sauerland Event's huge show in Erfurt, Germany. In the main event, a cruiserweight rematch between WBO champion Marco Huck (34-2, 25KO´s) and interim-champion/mandatory challenger Ola Afolabi (19-2-3, 9 KO's). Huck decisioned Afolabi over twelve rounds in 2009.

Another exciting match-up is on the cards on May 5 in Erfurt: Light-Heavyweights Dustin Dirks and Thomas Ulrich, both from Germany, will square off in the Messehalle. Dirks is undefeated, having won all of his previous 23 fights (17 KOs). Ulrich on the other hand surprisingly lost his last bout back in April 2011 against the Lithuanian Sergej Razvadovskij. The record of the former European Champion stands at 32 victories (22 KOs) to six losses out of 38 fights. The fight in the Messehalle will determine who will play a bigger role in the future of the light-heavyweight division.

Light heavyweight veteran Thomas Ulrich will not face unbeaten Dustin Dirks (22-0, 16 KOs) on Saturday night in Offenburg. While the exact reason is unknown at the moment, the former two-time European champion has withdrawn from the fight. Matthew Barney (26-9-1, 6 KOs) will replace Ulrich against the 22-year-old Dirks. In the main event, former middleweight champion Arthur Abraham will make his return against the durable Pablo Farias.
