Chemito Moreno Aims To Impress With Lorenzo Parra

By Jhonny Gonzalez

WBA bantamweight champion Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno wants the big fights and the big purses. He wants to display an impressive performance on June 17 when he defends the belt against Lorenzo Parra at the Arena Roberto Duran in Panama. Moreno vowed to the Panamanian people that he's going to walk away with the title and he won't allow Parra to grab the belt. He wants to dominate Parra from start to finish.

"I'm very well prepared for this fight with Parra, I just want to say to the Panamanian people that I'm going to remain the champion for quite a while," said Moreno. "Lorenzo Parra was a world champion and he is a good fighter, but with the kind of preparation that I've had - I will win this fight. I want to put on a show for all my of fans. I feel fast, strong and there have been no problems with the weight."

I can't still believe this guy's managers didn't let him sign with Golden Boy. I don't like it when guys stay and become town heroes instead of going mainstream. There are many great fighters like Narvaez, Crish John, Nishioka, etc..but…

I still can't get over the fact that he blantantly ducked Nonito Donaire. It's not so much that he did it, but the way he went about....smh
