None of that will matter, according to the 29-year-old Rios (33-2-1, 24 KOs), once the bell rings to start their 12-round fight for Bradley’s WBO welterweight title Saturday night at UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas (HBO; 9:30 p.m. ET).

Atlas Pleased With Bradley’s Improvement In First Camp

Teddy Atlas acknowledges that he won’t know for sure if Timothy Bradley can implement all he has taught him during their first training camp together until Bradley boxes Brandon Rios on Saturday night. Regardless, Atlas doesn’t adhere to the old boxing axiom that states one training camp isn’t enough time for a trainer to make permanent improvements in a fighter who has been doing things differently his entire career. The ESPN analyst, who’s training a fighter for the first time in four years, is more than pleased with the progress Bradley has made during the two months they’ve spent working together at the WBO welterweight champion’s gym in Indio, California.

Bradley-Rios: Tony Weeks to Ref, Judges Also Picked

Tony Weeks has been selected to be the referee for the welterweight fight between Timothy Bradley and Brandon Rios. Weeks was approved at Thursday’s meeting of the Nevada Athletic Commission. Bradley-Rios will take place on Nov. 7 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. Weeks has worked one Bradley fight before: the draw with Diego Chaves in 2014. He also was the referee for two Rios fights: the rematch loss to Mike Alvarado in 2013 and a technical knockout of Oscar Meza in 2009.
