Dominic Ingle, head trainer of IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs), believes IBF/IBO/WBA/WBC middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) has already reached his peak and is now slowing down.
Ingle's fighter will challenge Golovkin for the middleweight crown on Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London. HBO and Sky Sports Box Office will carry the card.
Golovkin has knocked out his last 22 opponents, including Brook's countryman Martin Murray and Matthew Macklin.
Brook has packed on some muscle and sculpted his body for the upcoming contest, actually outweighing Golovkin during the WBC's 30 day and 7 day weight checks. Ingle says Mackling paid Brook a visit in training camp and was shocked by the Sheffield fighter's physical build.
Golovkin will be turning 35 in April, and Ingle believes the age factor and Brook coming into his own will be the difference in the fight.
Ingle told Sky Sports: "We're not going to give the game away. Golovkin has his idea of what he's going to do - he's going to come out and seek and destroy. He might stand back a bit and look at Brook to see what he's got but we've always got a plan for these big fights.
"Matthew Macklin came to Ricky Hatton's gym a couple of weeks back to talk to Kell and Kell looked twice the size of him. Macklin was a good boxer but Kell won everything as an amateur and is world welterweight champion. Macklin said he couldn't believe the size of Kell and that he looked like a natural middleweight.
"Murray is a big guy, a tough guy and had been in tough fights. He knew what he was up against in Golovkin and back then, Golovkin was an animal but watching his last couple of fights he seems to be slowing down. He's taken one or two more shots and with Kell being younger, fresh and with ambition, that'll be the decider on the night."
