IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs) is looking to outdo a lot of his countrymen.
When Brook captured his world title in 2014, by traveling to the United States to win a twelve round decision over Shawn Porter - a lot of the British fans were excited over his world title achievement.
Now his status as a world champion is not as exciting, with 14 British fighters now holding various world titles in numerous weight divisions.
Brook will get the opportunity to outdo them on September 10th, when he jumps up by thirteen pounds to challenge WBC/IBO/IBF/WBA middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) at the O2 Arena in London.
"When we only had one or two world champions, the reaction when you won a world title was: 'Yes, unbelievable for Britain.' But now it's more a case of: 'Oh, someone else has won a world title.' No-one is shocked any more. So you do have to do something outrageous to stand out," Brook told BBC Sport.
Golovkin is a big favorite to win and he's considered by most as one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Brook believes an upset victory would make him the best fighter in boxing, pound-for-pound.
"Beating Golovkin would make me the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world," Brook said. "I've wanted to be the best since I was a little kid. Imagine me beating him and taking those belts to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. It would be unbelievable."
"There's a buzz in the air with this fight - it's a mega-fight. It isn't just a world champion fighting a world champion, it's the biggest fight you can make in world boxing. You've got two unbeaten fighters with a lot of knockouts between them going up against each other. It's ludicrous a guy is jumping up two divisions to face somebody no one will fight. It's got everything and that's why everyone needs to tune in."
