Former light heavyweight champion Antonio "Magic Man" Tarver has been cracked hard by a court order from a Hillsborough County judge in Florida.

BoxingScene.com caught up with an animated Antonio Tarver last week in Las Vegas. The former light heavyweight champion serves as an analyst on the Premier Boxing Champions series on Spike TV.

Former light heavyweight kingpin Antonio "Magic Man" Tarver (31-6-1) is still campaigning for a world title shot in the heavyweight division. He last appeared in the ring in August when he fought former cruiserweight champion Steve Cunningham to a controversial draw in their non-title heavyweight bout.

Las Vegas - The "force" was with Cuban star and newly crowned lightweight world champion Rances Barthelemy (24-0, 13 KOs) as he won a 12-round unanimous decision over Russian southpaw Denis Shafikov (36-2-1, 19 KOs) in the headlining bout of the final Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on Spike fight card of 2015. The four-fight telecast, which was supported by non-televised fights featuring some of Mayweather Promotions' rising stars, took place at the Pearl at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Former world champion Steve "USS" Cunningham stopped by the "The Cornermen" Radio Show to discuss the recent controversy regarding Antonio Tarver failing a pre-fight drug test in connection to their bout, which took place on August 14th in New Jersey. The bout ended in a twelve round split draw.

For the second time in his career, 46-year old Antonio Tarver is forced to battle outside the ring in order to clear his name. It didn’t work out well the first time around, nor does a happy ending appear to be within reach upon reports of once again testing positive for a banned substance. Sports Illustrated senior writer Chris Mannix was the first to report the news of Tarver – a former light heavyweight champion - having tested positive for synthetic testosterone, coming from samples produced prior to his 12-round draw versus Steve Cunningham in August.

TAMPA - Five-time world champion Antonio "Magic Man" Tarver (31-6-1, 22 KOs) vehemently refutes the results of his failed New Jersey Boxing Commission drug test taken prior to his 12-round draw with two-time IBF champion Steve "USS" Cunningham this past August 14th in Newark. A report claims Tarver tested positive for synthetic testosterone. He categorically denies taking any banned substance before his fight with Cunningham.

Heavyweight contender Antonio Tarver sees no reason to even consider a fight with former WBO kingpin Shannon Briggs. Briggs fights Micheal Marrone on September 5th at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida.

Steve Cunningham was held to a draw in his fight with Antonio Tarver, the former light heavyweight champion who is now 46 years old and does not aesthetically resemble a finely conditioned athlete. Cunningham not only feels as if he won the fight, but that it is Tarver who should take shame with the result. “I’ve looked at the fight. There’s always woulda coulda shouldas. That’s hindsight. From my part of the performance I feel good. From his part, I feel he should be embarrassed or disgraced,” Cunningham told BoxingScene.com a few days after the Tarver bout. “He literally looked like a clever journeyman. That’s what he looked like to us. He looked like a guy who didn’t want to engage, who didn’t come to engage. He came to throw a few punches around, make it look like he was doing something.”

Former champion and Premier Boxing Champions expert analyst, Antonio Tarver, says Andre Berto should come in with an all-out attack on Floyd Mayweather Jr. when they battle for the WBC/WBA welterweight titles on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Fans are not happen with the match, because Berto is viewed as a significant underdog in the contest. He's 3-3 in his last six bouts and the oddsmakers have Mayweather listed as a huge favorite - some of them have him at 80-1 to win. Showtime Pay-Per-View will carry the four fight event.
