In 2013 Dennis Ceylan (9-0, 5 KOs) established himself as one of Denmark’s most promising boxing talents. A busy year saw the former Olympian secure six victories including four knockout wins. Ceylan is now looking to carry this momentum into 2014 as he prepares to face Italian Featherweight Champion Daniele Limone (11-1, 4 KOs) at the Nordic Fight Night on February 1.

‘’I am looking forward to 2014,’’ said Ceylan. ‘’I want to stay busy and have as many fights as possible. Of course my goal like all other boxers is to win a title and I hope to have the opportunity to challenge for one of the smaller titles later this year. I think I am ready but will leave the decision up to my promoters Nisse and Kalle Sauerland.’’

Despite his title ambitions the 24 year-old refuses to overlook his next opponent. ‘’Limone is a good boxer. You only have to look at his record to see that. I have been working on a few different things with my trainer Frank Holm and we have a plan to beat him. I am looking forward to a tough fight but of course I will win.’’

Said Limone: ‘’Dennis might be under the impression that Italian fighters are soft, after knocking out two of my countrymen in his previous bouts, but he better think again. I know and I respect him, of course, but I think his promoter overestimated his skills, when he made the decision to match him versus myself. I will come to Denmark and show him what it means to be in a real fight.”

Promoter Nisse Sauerland: ‘’There is no doubt that this will be Dennis’ toughest test to date. Limone is a talented boxer who will look to take the fight to him. Dennis has shown what he is capable of in his last few fights. This is another step in the right direction for him and if he gets through this fight I believe he will be ready for a European title shot.’’

This fight is the latest addition to an action packed show at the Arena Nord in Frederikshavn. Ceylan joins fellow Danes Micki Nieslen and Kasper Bruun. WBA, WBO & WBC Female Welterweight Champion Cecilia Braekhus and EU Light Heavyweight Champion Erik Skoglund will also be in action. Tickets are available at arenanord.dk.
