The Philippines No. 2 ranked light flyweight Renan Trongco has won the vacant WBC International flyweight title with a comfortable twelve round decision over China’s Wang Xin Hua at the Elorde Grand Ballroom in Sucat, Paranaque.

All three judges scored the fight for Trongco.

Romy Yulo had Trongco the winner 116-110, Jerrod Tomeldam scored it 115-111 also for Trongco while Virgilio Garcia had the Filipino ahead by a closer 114-112 margin.

Trongco who dropped a unanimous twelve round decision to IBO minimum weight champion Hekkie Budler of South Africa last February 16 proved too good for Wang in a battle of southpaws.

With the win Trongco improved his record to 14-4 with 8 knockouts while Wang dropped to 10-9-1 with no knockouts.
