The President of the World Boxing Organization, Puerto Rico's Francisco Valcarcel, doesn't expect a fight to come about between middleweight king Sergio 'Maravilla' Martinez (49-2-2, 28KOs) and WBC 160-pound champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (45-0-1, 31KOs). The WBC is trying to force the fight to come together for September 15th in Las Vegas.

Chavez defends the title against Andy Lee on June 16th in Texas, and the winner has been ordered by the WBC to fight Martinez next. If Chavez wins, Paco doesn't believe he will fight Martinez.

"Martinez-Chavez is a battle that is unlikely to materialize. [Chavez] and his handlers and his family are not interested in this fight. I don't think they will take this risk, because of the risk involved. Chavez Jr. gets a lot of money for his fights, especially with the television [networks], [while] Martinez [doesn't rank as high in that department]," Paco said.
