Regardless of the outcome on May 7, Top Rank will have an option on Shane Mosley's next fight. If Mosley is able to defeat Manny Pacquiao for the WBO welterweight title, then a rematch with Pacquiao is the likely option. If Mosley suffers a loss, then Top Rank would look to match him against one of their welterweights or another name in the division.

Some of those names include unbeaten Mike Jones, Kermit Cintron [co-promoted by Top Rank and Lou DiBella], WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto, or possibly the winner or loser of the Miguel Cotto-Antonio Margarito rematch, which is scheduled for June if Cotto beats Ricardo Mayorga in March.

"We didn't seek a promotional agreement. What we did seek is one additional fight after this fight. If Shane were to win, we would look to make a rematch with Manny, assuming it was a good fight. And if Shane loses, then we would look to match him against some other top welterweight. There are so many, Cintron who is going to sign with us, Mike Jones who is fighting this week. There are so many guys for Shane to fight in pretty big fights," Arum told BoxingScene.com's Jose Aguirre.
