Saturday´s clash with Nader Hamdan will not only be Mads Larsen´s third fight after his comeback but also the 50th of his career. The former European super-middleweight champion is looking forward to what will be "a tough Saturday night". "I have seen him on tape and he is a good, strong guy," Larsen (47-2, 37 KOs) said of his Australian opponent. "It will be a tough fight."

The main event of the night will be Arthur Abraham´s second mandatory title defence against Khoren Gevor, and the IBF middleweight champion knows how tough a fighter Hamdan (40-4, 18 KOs) can be. It was back in September 2004 that the pair clashed in Germany, with Abraham clinching a hard-fought TKO victory (round 12). "I´ve seen the fight on tape and it will certainly help me," Larsen stated. "I know what to do and what not to do. It was good to see a fight like that. Hamdan has a big heart."

Larsen comes off an impressive points victory over Hector Javier Velazco which spelled only the second fight after a break of over three-and-a-half years. "It was good to get further ring experience. I´ve had two fights in a very short period of time so experience is what I need," said the Dane.

Coach Ulli Wegner has been happy about the preparation. "Mads is a great person and I really enjoy working with him," the coach lauded. "He came to us to become world champion and we will help him accomplish that goal. That´s why he has to get in the ring with strong people just like Velazco or Hamdan. Mads is fundamentally sound and a very clever boxer. He did well against Velazco but needs to continue his upward trend on Saturday."

Larsen admitted he has learned a lot from his new coach - except for discipline and timeliness. "I have always been on time before - my mum and dad told me so - and I´ve always taken care of my body. I like that they appreciate such things in Germany," Larsen revealed. "It is great to work with Ulli Wegner."
