The war of words continues between domestic rivals Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) and Kell Brook (35-0, 24KOs).

A few days ago, Khan advised Brook to step his game up - a knock on some of Kell's recent opposition in the ring. Khan is not impressed with Brook's decision to defend his IBF welterweight crown against Diego Chaves on October 24th. Chaves has only gained a single win in his last four fights.

Brook hit back on the social networks.

"Are you even still fighting?" Brook tweeted. "If so just let me end your career.. for the fans?"

Khan has been inactive since a May decision victory over former champion Chris Algieri. The Bolton boxer had hoped to get in the ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on September 12th. He was passed over in favor of Andre Berto.

At the moment Khan's handlers are negotiating a potential fight with eight division champion Manny Pacquiao for early 2016. The bout will either take place in February or April.

If Brook wins in October, his promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport would like to place him in a unification against WBO champion Timothy Bradley in 2016 or a domestic mega-fight with Khan.
