World Boxing Cares Luminaries To Visit New York Foundling’s North Manhattan Family and Community Services

Former Boxing World Champion Iran Barkley, Soap Star Martha Byrne and Other Acclaimed VIPs to Bring Encouragement to Youth and Their Families

(New York City) On March 8th, the World Boxing Council's World Boxing Cares initiative will bring a team of ambassadors to The New York Foundling’s North Manhattan Family and Community Services location with the goal of providing encouragement and inspiration to children 3-18 years of age and their families.

The Foundling’s North Manhattan Family and Community Services support and strengthen families to ensure their children are brought up in safe, nurturing homes.  North Manhattan offers preventive services with the goal of keeping families in the community together, and provides foster care services for those children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.

Participating in this event will be former boxing World Champion Iran Barkley, soap star Martha Byrne from As The World Turns , top young boxing prospect Jorge Teron, WBC Lightweight World Titleholder Ann Marie Sacurrato, WBA World Titleholder Melissa Hernandez, NABF Atomweight Titleholder Suszannah Warner, esteemed boxing journalist Eddie Goldman and America’s Junior Welterweight Titleholder Belinda Laracuente.

The event will include an interactive Q&A, autograph signing and more.
