Middleweight Kelly Pavlik (30-0, 27KOs) is quickly moving towards a title, and could possibly land one by the end of the year.

Pavlik is coming off an impressive HBO televised eight-round stoppage over Jose Luis Zertuche on Jan. 27. The win over Zertuche has earned him another invite from HBO to return to the network.

It was reported by The Plain Dealer Reporter that HBO wants Pavlik to fight on the same card as middleweight champion Jermain Taylor on April 14. Taylor is slated to be facing Contender star Sergio Mora in the main event.

Pavlik told the paper that an undercard bout on Taylor-Mora was not the only possible route to the gold. HBO, and Pavlik's promoter Top Rank are also very interested in matching him against power-puncher Edison Miranda in June, with the winner getting Taylor in September.
