Juan Manuel Lopez is ready for action later tonight at the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon, against Brazilian Adilmar Silva Santos. The former two division world champion is planning to have a huge run at 130-pounds. Juanma indicates that he went through 165 rounds of sparring so he expects his body to respond well at 130 pounds with the same effectiveness that he had at 122 and 126.

"I'll be [fighting at] 130 pounds. I already talked to [manager] Orlando Pinero and after we pass the fight [tonight], we will sit with my promoter in the coming days but it is a reality - I will stay at 130 pounds. I will not make 126.  I hope my body responds well but we'll see when the bell rings. I did 165 rounds of sparring, the first time I have done so much, and we hope that everything goes well. I am strong and well fed, " Juanma said.

This will be Juanma's first fight in 11 months. He was last seen in the ring getting knocked out by Mexico's Orlando Salido.

"I'm quite calm for this return. I feel more mature. I have no problems but of course I am a little anxious about how the audience will react but I'm fine. Regarding my opponent, I have only seen a couple of rounds of his fight with Jesse Magdaleno," Juanma said.

The former champ wants a title shot in the very near feature, but once again made it clear that he doesn't have any interest in facing his close friend and countryman, WBO super featherweight king Roman "Rocky" Martinez.

"I do not want to fight with Rocky Martinez. He's like my brother. Rocky may rise to 135.  And there are other big names at 130 pounds. [My team] has spoken to me about many different fights. If a world championship shot comes after this fight, we'll do it. With me there are no problems," he said.
