American trainer Tommy Brooks, who years ago worked with Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson, is now grooming Alexander Dimitrenko (32-2, 21 KOs). After suffering a knockout loss to Kubrat Pulev in May, Dimitrenko knew it was time for a change. Now that he broke away from Universum, Dimitrenko has high hopes for the future.

"I am happy and I am optimistic about the future. We are going forward. There were some organizational issues to attend to, but they are already accounted for, so I think everything will be fine. My contract with Universum ended on September 15. I'm a free agent, but I have a team supporting me and a good coach," Dimitrenko said.
